Apple Ermine Moth
Apple Ermine Moth EB1526
Author(s): Arthur L. Antonelli, Eric LaGasa, and Ernest C. Bay
A relative newcomer to the Pacific Northwest, the apple ermine moth (Yponomeuta malinellus) feeds exclusively on apple. It can defoliate a tree by June and damage long-term productivity. Bulletin explains biology, life cycle, and control measures, including destroying caterpillar tents. Color photographs highlight stages.
