Trends in Consumption and Acreage Shares for Selected Tree Fruits in WA EB1781
Author(s): Thomas Worley and Raymond Folwell
This look ahead publication is designed to assist Washington's farmers and those in the Yakima Irrigation Project as they plan for needs around the year 2010. It identifies past and expected trends in selected tree fruit acreage, consumption, and processing. Tables, graphs, and data analysis help project the needs for fresh or frozen, canned, and dried apples, pears, cherries, peaches, plums/prunes, and apricots. Figures for juiced apples and brined cherries are included. International and national trends are offered and the text is readable with numerous references listed.
