This manual is designed to supplement the 4-H Challenge Manual and support 4-H Leader Rock Climbing Training. It covers the skill competencies required to lead 4-H rock climbing activities, types and care of equipment, group facilitation, site setup and management, climbing techniques, safety guidelines, rescue procedures, and emergency response. Also included are a glossary and appendices on knots and forms for managing a 4-H Challenge Rock Climbing Program.
