Managing Ponderosa Pine Woodlands for Fish and Wildlife
Managing Ponderosa Pine Woodlands for Fish and Wildlife MISC0158
Author(s): Don Hanley

Different forest successional stages provide varied habitats that support different types of wildlife. Management activities can be used to create a mosaic of successional stages. Habitat elements in Ponderosa pine forests are described, and an overview of the impacts of different silvicultural practices is provided. A table lists the wildlife species that may be found in the various successional stages in Ponderosa pine forests.
