Short Duration Grazing
Short Duration Grazing MISC0234
Author(s): James A. Tiedeman, ed.
From the Proceedings of the Short Duration Grazing and Current Issues in Grazing Management Shortcourse held January 21-23, 1986 at Kennewick, Washington. Divided into three main sections, practitioners' application of time-controlled grazing; short duration grazing research; and ecological and economic components of short duration grazing. Data derived from previous experience in the American Southwest is presented to help evaluate this method in the Pacific Northwest. This is one more tool for range managers and ranchers to utilize in times of high costs and too often diminishing returns.
