Serving the residents of Washington since 1973, WSU Extension Master Gardeners are university-trained volunteers who provide "the face of Washington State University" across our state. As such, they provide research-based information about gardening and horticulture topics to interested individuals within each of Washington's 39 counties.

This manual provides answers to common programmatic questions for WSU Extension faculty, staff, and Master Gardener volunteers. Specific program requirements vary slightly by county, so local WSU Extension educators or program coordinators may have additional guidelines or policies.
