The Rotten Truth: Control of Common Forest Root Rots of the Pacific Northwest
The Rotten Truth: Control of Common Forest Root Rots of the Pacific Northwest VT0094   "The forests of the Pacific Northwest display a timeless beauty. They've been known to take your breath away. Because of excellent growing conditions, the greenery is lush and vivid. Yet hidden within these forests are fatal diseases caused by various pathogens that travel root-to-root, infecting large pockets of seemingly healthy trees." In the Pacific Northwest, where many types of root disease occur, three stand out as the most damaging and widespread. They are Laminated Root Rot, Armillaria Root Disease, and Annosus Root and Butt Rot. This videotape explains how to recognize the presence of the fungi that cause these root diseases, as well as how to manage your forest to prevent or control further infection.

This tape was funded in part by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Washington State University Extension, and the USDA Forest Service. 36 minutes.

This video has won multiple prizes, including the Videographer Award of Distinction in Educational Institutions, Aurora Awards Platinum Best of Show in Agriculture, and the Telly Awards Finalist in Educational Video.
