Fresh Cheese Made Safely - in your own kitchen
Fresh Cheese Made Safely - in your own kitchen VT0108   Was the first time you ate queso fresco when you were a child? Maybe your grandmother made it for you, or maybe you have just recently discovered the great taste of queso fresco. This video, "Fresh Cheese Made Safely in Your Own Kitchen" was made to help you learn to safely make high-quality queso fresco using pasteurized milk. Anna Zaragoza and Frances Herrera demonstrate the making of queso fresco. Anna and Frances are experts at making queso fresco and have conducted many safe cheese workshops where they taught hundreds of people how to make queso fresco safely. The WSU Extension Abuela Program inspired the video, a community based food safety project jointly conducted by the food science and human nutrition department and WSU Yakima County Extension.
This video has won numerous awards, including the Communicators Award of Distinction (Educational Category), Telly Awards Finalist (Instructional Category), and Aegis Award Finalist (Training/Education Category).
